Macon Behavioral Health System provides a full array of mental health, substance abuse and behavioral healthcare program services to both children and adolescents from ages 5-21. The center takes a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to the behavioral healthcare programs offered within the continuum of services. We partner with the youth we serve and their parents, schools and community to help youth reach their potential.

Services:

  • Assessment and referral services 24-hours a day, 7 days per week
  • Acute inpatient services equipped for voluntary, involuntary and emergency admissions for children and adolescents
  • Specialized adolescent residential programs
  • Accredited onsite school program
  • Vocational and recreational training
  • Full continuum of care for discharge planning, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient services

  • Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Community Reps Mentor Youth at Macon Behavioral Health System
Macon Behavioral Health System recently welcomed two key community members to speak to its Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) clientele. Tony Lowden, executive director of Campus Club, spoke on Jan. 21, and Solomon Green, Jr., a probation officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections, spoke on Feb. 18. Both speakers discussed how the decisions people make during their youth can have lasting outcomes—both positive and negative.

Facility Renovations Underway at Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center
Renovations have begun at Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, to provide a more welcoming, therapeutic and comfortable environment for the hospital’s clients, staff and visitors, and to make the facility more conducive to treatment.

Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center Creates Student Council for Patients
Macon Behavioral Health Treatment Center, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, has organized a student council government to provide its patients with a voice for addressing issues and concerns they may have regarding the hospital, and their individual experiences while they are undergoing treatment there. The council, which is made up of Macon patients, actively speaks for and represents the patients when it meets with CEO Nashon McPherson on a monthly basis.
